This week there were three releases, “Gandhi My Father“, “Cash” & the classic in color “Naya Daur“.

The week wasn’t very good this time around for the releases. Gandhi My Father did garner rave reviews but didn’t cash that in at the ticket window. Speaking of cash, Anubhav Sinha’s third outing, Cash, didn’t get the Cash for the producer as well. It was mired in pre-release negative publicity.

Naya Daur couldn’t gather a good opening but will be a good movie to watch this weekend with it being digitally restored and colorized.

The collections for the movies were in the range of 50% to 70%
